Superhero of the Month –
Cinder Moore
Shout out to Cinder Moore!
Cinder Moore is a bright light in this world and at Mo-Mentum. She’s funny, witty, works hard and if you get to work out with her at Mo-Mentum I guarantee she’ll make you smile and laugh.
Cinder lives in Corona and she works in Huntington Beach. After work, Cinder comes to Mo-Mentum to get her workout in. She’ll take one or two classes and if traffic is bad enough, she’ll even take three classes some nights!
So many people in Cinder’s situation spend their afternoon in the car and then complain that they don’t have time to go to the gym. Cinder has chosen to lean into her life and make time for her workout. She also loves Mo-Mentum and our Mo-Tribe because we make exercise fun, high quality and effective.
I think it’s safe to say that Cinder Moore has touched many lives at Mo-Mentum with her humor, her wisdom, her support and/or her vibrant personality. She was an easy choice for our August Superhero of The Month!
Cinder, we are so grateful for your inspiration and that you are part of the Mo-Tribe family!
Love,
Amanda
Team Mo and I choose our SUPERHERO OF THE MONTH based on several important factors that we believe reflect the values on which the Mo-Mentum Fitness world-class culture has been built upon.
Mo-Mentum’s Core Values include:
·  Mindset for Growth, constant never-ending learning…. if you’re not growing, you’re shrinking
·       Over deliver on all we do
·       Tribe we all need a supportive and inspiring tribe, people we can be ourselves around and who nudge us to be one percent better every day. We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
·       Transparency We believe in honesty with ourselves and with others of course.
·       Vitality- we believe in living vibrantly and living all out with courage and passion.
I guarantee you will be inspired by reading Cinder’s answers to her Superhero of the month questions.

Meet Cinder,

Mo-Mentum Fitness’s Superhero of  August 2019! She definitely is a superhero!

Q and A
Describe what your life (and your health) was like before Mo-Mentum Fitness.
         – not very active, ate without thinking. Always tired, definitely no cardio conditioning
Was there ever a low point or an experience that made your priorities change?
-I don’t think it was one thing but I do remember always thinking I needed to do something or I wasn’t going to see my daughters grow up.
How did Mo-Mentum Fitness come into your life (or back into your life)?
-I did have a coach at one time, but it didn’t work out, I don’t think I was truly in the right mindset and ready for change, even though my mouth was saying I wanted to change. Then my friend had invited me to her gym and everything just clicked.
What kind of results have you seen since starting a regular Mo-Mentum Fitness program?
-Well, not only have I lost weight but I’ve ran some 5k trail races, did a Spartan and 10K trail race. I never could do anything like this before. Wow, when I really think about how far I’ve come….I can’t believe it.
Please talk more about the actual changes in your life?
         – I try to be mindful of what I’m eating, because nutrition has always been my biggest struggle. I continue to work on it and take it day by day.
Let’s focus in on the blood work. What kind of changes have you seen? What do these changes mean for you lifestyle, longevity, finances, etc.?
         – Since I’ve been on this journey, my husband has also lost weight because we eat differently. We cook more meals at home instead of going out, but don’t get me wrong, I still go out just not like before.
Why do you make Mo-Mentum Fitness a priority in your life?
-Well, for my physical health but must importantly my mental health. Earlier this year I tried to find a gym closer to my home, I moved to Riverside and stopped coming to Mo-mentum (big mistake) while I was looking. I couldn’t find my place so I stopped working out. Mentally I started struggling without my support, I was getting depressed, gaining back some weight all because I had gone back to my old ways. Deep down I knew I had already found my tribe at Mo-mentum, so now I’m back on track.
These days, what makes truly happy and feel at peace?
-There are several things. Being with my family and friends. Working out and having a good time while doing it. Hiking, I love hiking especially in Washington. There’s something so peaceful about be surrounded by nature.
How do you feel compared to 1 year ago?
         -I feel great!
Specifics: age, job title, children, spouse?
      – I’m 50, which shocks me sometimes, lol. I work as a Registrar at a vocational school, I’ve been there 20 years. I have two beautiful daughters, Emily is 25, Hannah is 23 and my fur baby, Cashew is 1 and half. I’ve been married for 26 years to my wonderful husband, Jeff.
