May 2019 Superhero of the Month

Superhero of the Month –
Donna Carlow

Congratulations Donna! You are definitely a superhero!

Team Mo and I chose our SUPER HERO OF THE MONTH based on several important factors that we believe reflect the values on which the Mo-Mentum Fitness world-class culture has been built upon.

Mo-Mentum’s Core Values include:

  • Mindset for Growth, constant never ending learning….if you’re not growing you’re shrinking
  • Over deliver on all we do
  • Tribe we all need an incredible tribe! We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
  • TransparencyWe believe in honesty and being transparent
  • Vitality- we believe in living vibrantly and all out

Donna Carlow may seem quiet when you first meet her but don’t let this fool you, she  is a warrior! Donna is a woman of determination, consistency, strength, grace and she is one of the friendliest souls I know. Donna is from Boston and she doesn’t even get mad at me when I try to talk with her Boston accent!

Donna lives vibrantly, keeping her body, mind and spirit strong, traveling and hanging with her grandkids.  She is a role model for women of every age. What we see in Donna is woman who is gracefully moving through her life, enjoying each moment.  We see a woman who challenges her body, mind and spirit so she is continually growing. We see a woman who takes care of her body so she can continue to thrive for many more years.

We see a woman who surrounds herself with people who fill her cup with energy and a woman who shares her vibrant energy with those who surround her as well.

Donna, Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us.  You are definitely a superhero!

Love,

Amanda and Team Mo

Q & A

Meet Donna,

Mo-Mentum Fitness’s Superhero of  May 2019! She definitely is a superhero!

Describe what your life (and your health) was like before fitness

“I am to old to recall!! :)”

Was there ever a low point or an experience that made your priorities change

“Birth of my twins sure upset my life style and it took me a while to get back to an exercise routine. Full and part time work through out the years also crimped my style, so to speak.”

How did fitness come into your life (or back into your life)?

“Jackie Sorensen’s Aerobic Dancing program was introduced in our town by a dear grade school classmate of mine. I attended her first classes, and the rest is history.”

What kind of results have you seen since starting a regular fitness program?

“I think I’ve managed, over the years, to keep my weight down and stay relatively healthy and free from injury — aside from a broken fifth metatarsal and a few sore muscles.”

Why do you make fitness a priority in your life?

“Its fun and makes me feel good mentally and physically.”

Please talk more about the actual changes in your life?

“Not sure there are any more actual changes in my life, per se, but I have three daughters who have picked up the exercise mantle and lead a healthy and active life style.”

How do you feel compared to 1 year ago?

“About the same.”

SPECIFICS? JOB? AGE? CHILDREN?

” 72, retired, four children, one spouse – just married 50 years!! Good lord, don’t know how I made it that long!! 🙂 “
